Ross Baker - Snowboard

Ross, a Reno, NV native rides Tahoe all winter long and is a staple up at Mt. Hood’s Windell’s Camp. Last year he dominated the amateur national series with a second-place finish at the 2007 USASA Nationals in Open Men’s Halfpipe. Between mowing lawns, working at a ski shop, and exercising his witty banter on helpless teammates, Baker has been working hard toward making it to the Winter X Games and riding in the Olympics. He is hell-bent on doing it all for himself: “I have fun. I’m not too worried about what people think about me when I’m snowboarding,” Ross says, “I just enjoy it.” With such lofty goals, Ross hasn’t lost sight of his main priority: to have fun every time he rides.
Results: 6th US Open 2008, 2nd at 2007 Breckenridge Spring Massive, 3rd at 2007 Copper Mountain Revo, 1st in Halfpipe at 2006 Revolution Tour in Killington, Vermont, 1st Us Open Junior Jam 2003.
